Lago di Braies – known in German as Pragser Wildsee – provided the perfect backdrop for this special day. Its clear waters, the imposing peaks of the Dolomites and the peaceful atmosphere around the lake created exactly the blend of natural beauty, openness and elegance we had imagined for the session.
Just a few steps took us from the wooden boathouse to quiet paths along the shoreline, always surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Every perspective felt different – sometimes wild and unspoilt, sometimes calm and almost fairytale-like. This unique combination is what makes Lago di Braies so special to us: powerful, timeless and filled with little moments.

This session with Vic and Ric at Lago di Braies was not our first time together. We had already shared a wonderfully stormy day with them against the dreamlike backdrop of Noordwijk. In October 2024, our journey continued to Pragser Wildsee in South Tyrol, surrounded by the breathtaking Dolomites.
When Vic asked whether we would join them on this adventure, we were immediately excited. We had waited so long for the chance to photograph a Lago di Braies elopement or an after-wedding session at Pragser Wildsee, and now the moment had finally arrived. Just a few months after we began planning, we set off on this unforgettable trip together.

And on a completely different note, seeing that even Terence Hill had once stood there brought a huge smile to my face. There is something rather special about following in the footsteps of such a legend – a tiny piece of cinematic history in one of the most beautiful places in the Dolomites. 😄
